So the design isn’t done….that doesn’t mean I can’t start writing. So here we go…
Two things I’m going to talk about in this…
1. dredg puts on an excellent show. Regardless of the fact that they performed at The Middle East, in Cambridge, MA, this past Wednesday (the 15th) and the sound there is horrid….dredg still managed to wow the audience.
New songs performed, from their upcoming album, included: Pessimistic, Down to the Cellar, Horizon, Saviour, I don’t know and Ireland. I’m very excited to hear the rest of the songs from the new album, live. Hopefully there will be more included in the set list when dredg comes back around…in late summer(?).
2. The next thing I wish to discuss is the new House of Blues that replaced the Avalon & the Axis, here in Boston. I must say, that I’m quite pleased with the layout of the venue. It’s basically like a bigger version of the Avalon, with 2 upper floors.
My main gripe with the venue, which I saw coming from its inception, is the ‘no camera’ policy. Not even regular cameras were allowed in “due to the artist’s request”… which was rubbish, since the bands that I saw performing there said, during their sets, “we didn’t request that….take all the photos you want.”
And I’m done for now. First post, away we go…
